Who We Are

Our Story

  • In the summer of 2023, two recent high school graduates, Kiran and Aidan, turned their passion for education into a promising venture. After years of both informal and formal tutoring, the duo decided to establish their own business following a casual tutoring session with a friend who needed SAT help. They launched Affordable Tutoring Solutions with a dynamic, AI-integrated scheduling system and a self-designed standardized test prep curriculum. Throughout their first summer, they managed to tutor over 15 clients, attesting to their dedication and innovative approach. As summer waned, Kiran and Aidan prepared for their freshman year of college, slowing operations but maintaining their commitment by transitioning to remote management with the help of two new independent contractors. Over the academic year, they didn't just sustain the business; they enhanced it. The shift to a digital SAT necessitated a complete overhaul of their curriculum, which they undertook alongside refining their tutoring and learning management systems. By the start of Summer 2024, with a clear vision and concrete goals, they sought to advance Affordable Tutoring Solutions significantly. This period marked a transformation, with the launch of new technologies and a restructured pricing model; simultaneously, major improvements to their tutoring, scheduling, and billing systems were made. Kiran and Aidan's efforts culminated in setting major initiative goals aimed at increasing accessibility to affordable tutoring within their community and fostering the academic and personal growth of their students.

  • They are pleased to announce that as of May 2025, they just launched ATS Educational Access Fund (ATS-EAF), a separate non-profit organization dedicated to expanding educational access beyond traditional boundaries starting. Through their innovative sliding scale pricing model, they have already campaigned thousands of dollars to launch ATS-EAF and their first community initiative planned in June 2024.

ATS Growth & Initiatives

Initiative #1: Title I Tutoring Internship
ATS plans to launch a transformative initiative with a Title I school—public schools with significant concentrations of low-income students—in Central Florida. We will aim to offer free tutoring, especially in SAT/ACT preparation, to enhance the educational outcomes of these students and broaden their future opportunities, allocating up to 30% of all income to potentially establish a paid internship program that will enable high-achieving high school and college students to provide this crucial service to low-income students who need it the most.
Initiative #2: Early Readers Program for Title 1 School
Building on our commitment to educational equity, ATS plans to launch an Early Readers Program targeting literacy development in Title I elementary schools throughout Central Florida. This initiative will pair trained tutors with K-3 students who are struggling with reading fundamentals, providing one-on-one support during critical developmental years. By intervening early with personalized reading instruction, we aim to close the literacy gap that disproportionately affects children from underserved communities, setting them on a path to lifelong academic success.
Initiative #3: DEI Training to Expand Tutoring Scope
Once we have established a robust team of tutors and secured sufficient funding, we plan to invest in specialized certifications and DEI training. This will enable us to expand our tutoring services to include students with special needs and specific learning disabilities, ensuring we can truly reach and support every member of our community.
